What I do:
CraftShed is my small locally run business in Arlingham, Gloucestershire promoting sustainable skills and mindfulness through sewing and craft workshop sessions.
I run bespoke, small classes to encourage skills development as well as the chance to meet like-minded people to enjoy the creative process. I promote inclusivity and encourage all ages and abilities.
I have a Masters degree in Textile design and BA(hons) in Fashion & Textile Design.
I teach part time in a local Secondary Comprehensive School and am an associate lecturer in Education at a renowned University.
CraftShed developed due to my love of creativity,
join the revolution!!
About Craft Shed: The Vision
CraftShed was set up as a result of my frustration towards the pace and stress of daily life and unsustainable living.
Why make it when you can buy it? overflowing landfill? dying crafts and wanting to take pride in something you have made - is all too familiar.
Reuse - Recycle - Repair
This is where CraftShed was born - a vision to do better, to be more mindful, to enjoy creating, repairing and reusing the unwanted with people of a similar mindset in our friendly and inclusive setting, to have fun as well as to promote a more sustainable way of living
With over 13 years of Teaching experience in Design Technology, (Textiles and Food Preparation & Nutrition) not to mention a love of making things (anything really) I hope CraftShed can help inspire you.
Give yourself the best gift that money can't buy - time!
Please reach us at info@craft-shed.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Cancellations are non-refundable however you can re-book onto another workshop.
There is a 7 day rebooking policy on sewing and craft workshops due to the cost of buying in materials for each session and the hire of the venue.
bookings close 7 days before the workshop.
Due to health & safety I cannot allow children into workshops unless it is a parent and child event. I know how challenging it can be to find child care especially time for you - so please keep an eye open for special events
For each workshop all the equipment will be provided, however should you wish to continue your creative making journey, here are a few suggestions: Some basic sewing tools include scissors, pins, needles, thread, a measuring tape, a seam ripper, and a thimble.
Absolutely! please just email your enquiry and a preferred date
